Selena Gomez: dopo la news del trapianto, raccolti 400 mila euro per la ricerca sul lupus

Selena Gomez ha permesso che fossero donati oltre 400mila euro alla ricerca sul lupus, la malattia autoimmune incurabile che l’ha costretta a ricevere un trapianto di rene lo scorso maggio dalla sua amica Francia Raisa. È bastato il post su Instagram con il quale Selena raccontava il percorso medico e personale causato dalla malattia a spingere i fan a inondare di donazioni la ricerca e le associazioni benefiche che si occupano dei malati.

Secondo la Lupus Research Alliance, la metà delle persone che soffrono di lupus incorre in insufficienza renale proprio come Selena. "L’apertura e la forte connessione emozionale di Selena Gomez con il suo pubblico in tutto il mondo ha portato un’attenzione straordinaria a una malattia che viene troppo spesso trascurata", ha spiegato a E! News il CEO di Lupus Research Alliance, Kenneth Farber.
