Bufera su Kim Kardashian per il party dei 40 anni

Kim Kardashian ha compiuto 40 anni il 21 ottobre scorso. Ai tempi del Covid traguardi così importanti sono difficili da festeggiare. Ma non per la regina delle influencer, che come si muove crea una polemica (questa volta giustificata). Kim ha preso un atollo tutto per sé e ha organizzato un party con amici e parenti, senza rispettare le regole di contenimento: nessuno aveva la mascherina, né tanto meno era a distanza di sicurezza dagli altri presenti. 

Ovviamente la serata è stata documentata sui social minuto per minuto. E qui è scattata l'ira degli utenti. In un momento in cui ci sono persone che non possono vedere neanche i genitori, e altre che hanno perso il lavoro, Kim forse è stata un po' insensibile. Almeno lei ne è consapevole, infatti scrive: "Abbiamo ballato, fatto giri in bici, nuotato vicino alle balene, fatto kayak, guardato un film sulla spiaggia e molto altro. Capisco che per molte persone questo non sia alla portata, quindi in momenti come questi mi ricordo di quanto sia privilegiata la mia vita".

Il lusso, la bella vita, il fatto di poter decidere di prendere un'isola privata chissà dove e fare quello che si vuole, quando fuori il mondo conta un milione di morti a causa della pandemia: è questo quello che ha fatto indignare molti.

40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter. For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today. Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment. After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time. We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40
